It’s Alive!!! How to Create Books and Stories That Have Meaning
Thursday March 20, 2025 9:00am - 11:00am MDT
When children do not have full access to one or more of their distal senses (vision, hearing) it can have serious implications on concept and literacy development. Books and stories must come alive in order to have meaning! Creating hands-on materials helps to solidify the words on a page as well as actions performed. Research tells us that when activities are tied to movement and personal experiences, we are better able to commit those activities to memory. Please join us as we engage in interactive literacy experiences to create and take back materials that you will be able to use immediately with your students.
