About me
Shay Utley has been a COMS for 27 years. She began her career at the Lighthouse for the Blind in Fort Worth, Texas for 6 years and she has been serving students in the Mansfield ISD for the last 21 years. Shay has served students ages 0-22 years of age with diverse visual and cognitive abilities. Shay is a member of the multidisciplinary team and ensures the highest quality of services provided to each student on an individual basis. She provides a strong support system through direct instruction and consultation with parents, educators, as well as students’ sighted peers.
